Information about the teacher

Mrs. Donna Larson has a B.A. degree in music education from the University of Northern CO, a B.S. degree in occupational therapy from Colorado State University, and is a registered Suzuki instructor, having completed training at the Colorado Suzuki Institute at Snowmass and at Boulder, Colorado.

She has played the piano and cello since she was a child and has performed with the Greeley Philharmonic, the Fort Collins Symphony, and the Colorado Springs Symphony in Colorado, the Great Falls Symphony and the Bozeman Philharmonic in Montana, and the SDSU Orchestra in San Diego, California. She is currently principal cellist for Denver Pops Orchestra of Denver, CO.

Mrs. Larson has taught piano, cello, and music theory for twenty+ years. Some of her students have won music competitions, and some have gone on to major in music in college. She home-schooled her three children through graduation, the last having graduated in 2007. She now teaches out of her home music studio in Jefferson County (Foothills/Columbine/Chatfield area) where she is maintaining time slots for sixteen students per quarter period.
