Studio Policies

Olive Branch Music Studio policies are designed to keep tuition consistent quarter to quarter, thus increasing lesson commitment, which is in the best interest of the student. This also limits book keeping for both student and teacher.

Quarterly Schedule Lessons will be based on a quarterly calendar schedule. When a student commits to lessons, he or she is enrolling for a three month music school session. The studio schedule will follow the Jeffco School Calander when school is in session, and in addition will run all year as follows:
Fall Quarter September 1 to November 30
Winter Quarter December 1 to February 28
Spring Quarter March 1 to May 31
Summer Quarter June 1 to August 31

Each quarter will offer at least ten lessons, allowing for occasional illnesses, emergencies, or vacations for both students and teacher; however, in some quarters students will have eleven, twelve, or even fourteen lessons. If a student enrolls in the middle of a quarter, fees will be adjusted accordingly. If circumstances prevent the teacher from being able to offer at least ten lessons per quarter, tuition will be pro-rated. The difference will be applied as credit to the next quarter’s tuition, rather than refunded. The amount of credit per lesson less than 10 will be calculated by dividing the tuition by the average number of lessons per quarter (12).

No lessons will be held on normal school holidays or July 4th. Each individual lesson is one hour long (½ hour on instrument; ½ hour at computer lab). A tardy student has only the time remaining in his or her lesson slot. This is so no one will infringe upon the lesson time of another.

Rescheduling will not be possible, so please keep your appointments as often as possible.

Vacations Students vacationing from lessons for one or more months will need to submit a $35.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot for when you return. This $35.00 deposit will be applied to your first payment upon your return. Students who expect to miss a week or more will need to communicate intentions at the beginning of the quarter, and payment will be worked out on a case by case basis. Refunds and make-up lessons will not be issued for students who choose to attend fewer than ten lessons per quarter, or in cases of forgotten or otherwise missed lessons.

Refunds cannot be given for lessons canceled or missed by students. Remember, tuition is based on a quarterly schedule, reserving a specific time slot for you. Refunds will be given only in cases of a student's extended illness (two or more weeks).

Tuition rates are based on the quarterly schedule (see below), and payment is due before or on the first scheduled lesson of each quarter. To simplify payment and record keeping, please choose from two payment options:
